Center for African Affairs and Conflict Research (CAACOR), the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs (through the National Youth Council) in collaboration with local and international partners and supported by the progressive local leaders together have organized a quick, creative and practical youth socio-economic engagement process dubbed the National Youth Roundtables.
National Youth RoundTables is a youth-led independent secretariat developed through regional youth conventions/dialogue, involving selected young leaders, and giving them an opportunity to show-case their talents, passion and innovativeness in the following areas Digitized Economy, Modern Agribusiness and Climate change, business and social entrepreneurship, Sports, Arts and Cultural Recreation, and leadership and governance. We bring together over 500 young leaders in the nine regional economic blocks of Kenya, 50 in every County. Through this platform, CAACOR together with other several development partners envisions heightening the Youth Community Action Projects that will translate to small and medium youth-focused bulk industries that can enhance avenues for value-addition chains and full utilization of the numerous natural resources within the counties to allow for more job creations in the counties. This is in line with the government policies on POST COVID-19 economic recovery plans, AGENDA FOUR and BUILDING BRIDGES INITIATIVE (BBI).
There are so many activities, programs, partners and teams involved under this program and as such we have developed a whole website with structures of implementation, for more information follow us on www.youthroundtables.com.
